Ronia, the Robber's Daughter is a book by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. The anime series Ronja The Robber's Daughter is based off of this book.
Plot[]
The book follows Ronja, a ten-year-old girl, through her adventures in the forest with her friend Birk Borkason. However, Birk is the son of her father's worst enemy, and she becomes torn between loyalty to the two.
Soon, their fathers become friends, however.
Trivia[]
- The book spells the girl's name Ronia, while the show spells it Ronja. The reason why is unknown.
- Astrid Lindgren is also the author of the Pippi Longstocking series, so maybe the way Lovis wears her hair in the show is a reference to the way Pippi wore hers.
